Yes. The applicant’s motivation is to get hired and they justify their behavior within the survey to get the job. |

Is the test defensible / compliant? |

Yes. All of the questions have been reviewed by Insight’s labor attorneys. The questions are legal to ask and do not discriminate or produce adverse impact on protected classes. Massachusetts is currently the only state where integrity testing is not permitted. |

How is this different from psychological profile testing? |

|
How is this different from psychological profile testing? |
| |
|
Profiling tests can be inaccurate and difficult to defend because they rely on assumptions that different psychological profiles are inherently prone to certain behaviors. The Integrity Test asks direct and pointed questions about an applicant's behavior as it applies to current illegal drug use, dependability, theft, violence, and workers comp fraud. You receive a clearly stated Caution Report that outlines specific admissions by the applicant. |

|
Does this test replace background checks? |
| |
|
No. They are used in conjunction with each other. The Integrity Test tells you about an applicant’s current behavior while the background check documents an applicant’s past behavior. According to one national background check company, only 5% of all applicants screened reveal a criminal record, making it vital to screen upfront for their current behavior. |

How does Integrity Testing work? |

|
Integrity Testing is efficient enough to administer and effective enough to improve any staffing company's risk management program. An applicant completes the test along with an application after he or she has completed the prescreening stage. The test uses behavior based questions to gradually make the applicant comfortable with admitting to the key questions. There are also questions designed to identify anyone who is trying to deceive the test. |

There are three main characteristics of any pre-employment test that demonstrate whether it meets professional standards, conforms to the requirements of the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (EEOC) and meets federal and state laws and regulations. These characteristics are reliability, validity and freedom from adverse impact. The Integrity Test, Insight's primary testing product, satisfies these standards to an optimum degree. |

You receive a "Caution Report" immediately upon the completion of the test. We recommend that you consider these cautions very seriously when you weigh your hiring decision. Remember, these cautions are directly stated admissions from the applicant concerning his or her behavior. Some of these admissions will take you by surprise! Does my office need a computer with Internet access for all of our applicants? |

Does my office need a computer with Internet access for all of our applicants? |
| |
|
There are multiple options for administering the test. One option is to provide Internet based workstation(s) for applicants to complete the survey. Multiple languages are available including Spanish, Vietnamese, and Haitian Creole. For applicants who have trouble reading, audio over the Internet is available, where the computer will actually read to the applicant.
A second option is Insight's specially programmed PDA units. These PDA's are wireless and fully self-contained, allowing you to administer the survey and see the results right on the unit. This is a great solution for job fairs or any situation where a computer with an Internet connection is not available. Some of our staffing clients have up to 5 units in use for offices with heavy applicant intake volumes. The PDA's are also adhered to 8 x 10 plexi-glass sheets to deter theft. |

What types of questions does the test ask? |

The best part about the Insight Integrity Test is that the questions are directly stated inquiries about applicant behaviors. For example:
Workers Comp Fraud: How many times in the last three months have you faked an injury to get medication?
A) Never
B) 1 or 2 times
C) 3 to 5 times
D) More than 5 times
Behavioral questions such as the one stated above lead to cautions directly related to an applicant's propensity to current illegal drug use, dependability, theft, violence, and workers comp fraud. Among staffing service clients , 6.1% of all applicants tested generated cautions specific to workers comp based on answers to directly stated questions such as this.

The Integrity Test is one of the first steps in your risk management due-diligence. When an applicant's survey generates cautions, this information is invaluable in your hiring decision. You do not need to incur the expense of conducting a background screen or drug screen, because the applicant has admitted to behaviors that will prohibit him or her from assignment to one of your clients. RCS recommends that all applicants complete Integrity Test in accordance with ADA, EEOC, and other regulatory guidelines. At a baseline retail price of $5.75 for a test, the Integrity Test is a cost efficient alternative to conducting drug screens and backgrounds checks on unqualified applicants. Not to mention the cost of hiring and assigning an employee who may end up filing a fraudulent claim or stealing from your client. |

We will provide you with a “caution” about particular applicants. The final decision whether to move forward in the hiring process is yours to make. We are simply providing you an additional tool to help you make the best hiring decision you can. Wouldn’t you rather know if one applicant has dependability problems versus an applicant who has drug or workers’ comp fraud problems? |
